Certainteed Corporation
The roofing products division of Certainteed Corporation partnered with Forza Design to perform a mechanical conversion of a roofing shingle line in their Peachtree City, Georgia facility.
During a six-week shutdown, a complete asphalt coating line was removed, a new steel structure of 50 tons and penthouse were fabricated and erected, new process equipment was installed as well as the installation of new jacketed process piping and pneumatic lines. Patrylo, Inc. also fabricated and installed the new 14-component material bin which weighs over 14 tons.
This project required tremendous coordination between the owner’s other shut-down activities, process electrical subcontractors, and Patrylo’s 40 person crew in a relatively small work area.
