I have been involved with engineering and construction since being hired as a Co-Op student at Georgia Power in 1987. I continued that role at Law Engineering and ATC Associates in providing design-build solutions for hazardous waste site remediation. As environmental remediation slowed due to good practices and aggressive clean-ups, I looked for a new path to utilize my design and construction experience. I was introduced to Forza Group, and thought I could use my skills to help them grow their industrial construction repertoire. I am now President of the company, but I wear all hats from business development, estimating, project management, safety to financial controls. I have been with Forza Group since 1999 and have been working in the industry since 1987.

I love that my role gives me the opportunity to visit multiple project sites and clients each week over a diverse array of industries, and am always amazed at the skill that each group uses to create their products and services. Where many general contractors call themselves “design-builders”, Forza Group really is. We have licensed engineers and general contractors on staff, and I personally carry licenses in both. But, more than that, our workforce is comprised of technical professionals and craftspeople of the highest quality. We just don’t subcontract all of our construction work – we execute it.

Before I began my career in construction, I met my wife Lori at Georgia Tech. We have been married since 1994. We have three grown children – a daughter who graduated from Clemson University, another daughter who graduated from Georgia Tech and a son attending Georgia Tech. I have been involved with our local church (Dogwood Church), Boy Scouts of America (I am an Eagle Scout) and Little League. I enjoy volunteering my time with local charities and exploring Peachtree City in a golf cart.

After graduating from High School, I was a plumber’s helper in the summer and went to College in AET (Architectural Engineering Technology). I transferred to Auburn into the Architectural School and became a dual major. During that transition, I realized that I was more suited for the Building Construction track. I now have 28 years of Project Management Experience. I found the Forza Group through a headhunter asking me to interview with the company, but was not interested at first; however, they were in PTC, so I took the interview. I have been working with Forza Group since 2000.

I am the Chief Operating Officer and run the Marietta Office. I have been a partner in the firm since 2006. I get the most enjoyment at Forza Group helping employees provide for their families and enjoying their jobs. I think what makes us different from other companies is that if you ask our employees, they feel valued as people. We care about each person as an individual and want the best for them and their families. It isn’t always about the bottom line. We want each person to have a positive day-to-day experience. We care about the long-term relationship as well as the current project. Forza wants to build trust with clients so that they know we are there to be partners, not adversaries.

My hobby is my family. I have five boys. They range in age from 12-23 years old. We enjoy travel hockey, scuba diving, and travel. My wife Kerry and I have been married for 28 years. She has been homeschooling and teaching our kids for the last 23 years. Her patience and grace have allowed me to work and provide for our family.

I have been a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) since 1979. I was brought into the Industrial Construction industry through working with construction clients that were needing additional financial oversight. I joined the industry as a fractional (outsourced) CFO in 2015. Seven years ago, Forza Group was forecasting significant growth and gave me a job at the company in a full-time capacity. Now I provide financial oversight for the entire company’s operations.

Working with Forza Group employees and our partners is what I enjoy most about my role in the company. The people here are extremely talented and very focused on the company’s success. The Forza business model starts with employees. The company owners are continually working to create an environment where people are able to spend their day working inside their unique abilities. The company model of “Employee First” brings prospective clients a contractor that can perform at a highly professional level. We strive to provide an exemplary level of satisfaction to all of our clients.

My wife Cindy and I have been married since 1977, and we are blessed with three sons (and daughters-in-law) and five grandchildren. I enjoy spending my time with all of them. I love to travel with my family, as well as play pickleball and the occasional game of golf.

I’ve been in the construction industry since 1972. In 1983, I was working for a Toronto-based company as a Field Engineer/Superintendent constructing an industrial facility in Morrow, Georgia. My wife Lynda and I decided to take a big leap and start our own construction firm in 1984. I still work as an Estimator and Project Manager for Patrylo, Inc. Prior to founding Patrylo, I graduated from Notre Dame and worked at a heavy industrial engineering and construction company in New Jersey.

The best part of my role in this company is that I get to build things! Our company has a joyful spirit that differentiates us from other companies in our industry. I was married to my beautiful wife Lynda for 35 years before she passed away in 2012. When I’m not at work, I enjoy playing golf and spending time with my three children and eleven grandchildren!
