1984
In 1984, construction industry veterans Dennis Patrylo and Jack Tiernan left a national construction firm to found their own company in Atlanta. Over the following decade, their leadership and vision established a loyal client base and a reputation for work built on integrity and technical excellence.
1994
In 1994, John Tiernan and Larry Aronson joined the leadership team, transforming the company (then known as Tiernan & Patrylo) into a robust, multi-disciplinary design-build firm. Their guidance expanded the company’s geographic reach and deepened its capabilities. The company drew exceptional engineering and construction professionals to its growing ranks.
1999-2000
From 1999 to 2000, Nick Fouts and Scott Worley joined the firm and emerged as key members of the leadership team, later becoming partners. Together, this foundational core propelled Tiernan & Patrylo into new markets and set the stage for the next chapter of growth.
2019
In 2019, Scott and Nick acquired 100% ownership, and the company adopted the Forza Group name, “forza” being the Italian word for “strength.” This name change focused the company’s mission and set the stage for immense growth. Over the next three years, Forza acquired leading companies in metal fabrication and electrical services, creating a suite of capabilities to serve the most challenging industries and jobs.
Today
Today, Forza Group continues to build a reputation as both the contractor and employer of choice in the metro Atlanta area. Our team excels at delivering high-performance projects for manufacturing, industrial, and commercial facilities. With strong self-perform capabilities and a proven design-build approach, Forza Group provides complete project solutions from concept through post-construction.
In 2024, Forza Group marked 40 years of service and accomplishment in this vital industry. We look forward to the next 40 years of innovation, relationships, and excellence.
