National Roofing Manufacturer Plant Modernization
PROJECT DETAILS
Project Highlight: National Roofing Manufacturer Plant Modernization
From 2023 through 2025, Forza Group has partnered with a major national roofing manufacturer to deliver more than $6 million in plant modernization and production infrastructure projects. Working within an active manufacturing environment, our teams have supported the installation of new shingle production equipment and upgrades to critical facility systems. These projects included the installation of a new manufacturing line for roofing shingle production, requiring coordinated millwright installation of processing and packaging equipment alongside structural modifications to support expanded production capacity.
Forza self-performed the fabrication and erection of structural steel for multiple facility upgrades, including new infrastructure within the plant’s head house, a silo support structure, and expanded access platforms and stair systems. Additional work included the integration of process piping systems supporting hot oil containment, dust collection, and material delivery infrastructure, along with electrical demolition and installation for production equipment and plant utilities. Forza also provided engineering design services to develop custom support structures and containment systems that improved installation efficiency and reduced structural costs. These projects highlight Forza Group’s ability to execute complex manufacturing upgrades that require tight coordination between mechanical, structural, electrical, and engineering disciplines within active industrial facilities.
From 2023–2025, Forza Group has completed more than $6M in projects for a large national roofing manufacturer, including:
- Millwright — Installation of a new machine line to manufacture roofing shingles, including processing and packaging equipment.
- Structural steel fabrication and erection — Installation of new structural steel in the head house, a new silo building, and stairs. Added structural supports to the existing roofing system to support 22 new exhaust fans and air movers.
- Process piping — Installation of process instrumentation piping for the hot silo bin and dust collector, hot oil containment system, and granules delivery system.
- Engineering design — Designed a new sand pipe support system utilizing existing structures, saving time and cost on installation, startup, and steel fabrication. Designed and fabricated a flume collection and safety containment system for the section where hot asphalt is introduced to the fiberglass mat.
- Electrical — Performed all demolition on the old machine line. Installed low-voltage data and signal wiring on various packaged equipment systems. Provided plant maintenance work as requested.
