Project Highlight: Southwire Manufacturing Expansions

Forza Group has served as a key industrial construction partner for Southwire since 2023, delivering more than $30 million in complex manufacturing infrastructure projects across facilities in Carrollton, Georgia; Heflin, Alabama; and Denton, Texas. Our teams have supported multiple production line installations and facility upgrades, including the installation of four high-capacity wire coating lines in Heflin. These projects required extensive coordination of structural steel fabrication and erection, precision equipment rigging and setting, and the integration of critical process piping systems required to support continuous cable manufacturing operations.

Across multiple phases of work, Forza has provided design-assist services for process piping and structural systems while executing the installation and alignment of major production equipment, including extruders, accumulators, and material handling systems. Additional scopes included the fabrication and erection of elevated production platforms and the demolition and replacement of existing structural infrastructure to support new manufacturing lines. These projects highlight Forza Group’s ability to deliver complex industrial installations across multiple facilities while supporting the expansion of high-volume manufacturing environments for one of the nation’s leading wire and cable producers.

• 2023 –  $15M CV lines 8,9,10,11 installation, including 4 new wire coating lines Heflin, AL.
  • Self-performed structural design, equipment rigging/setting, steel fab/erection, and process pipe fabrication and installation
  • Setting and alignment of 16 extruders, 8 accumulators, 4 pay-offs/take-ups
  • Over 10,000 LF of process piping,1000 LF heating tubes
